Every Pathway Is Personal
We do not begin by asking where a pupil should fit. We begin by understanding what that pupil needs in order to feel safe, engage with learning and make meaningful progress.
Personalised Learning
Every pupil follows a pathway based on their starting points, strengths, interests, needs and future aspirations.
Flexible Delivery
Learning may combine guided teaching, independent activities, individual support and regular opportunities to revisit work.
Meaningful Progress
We value qualifications, but also recognise progress in confidence, wellbeing, independence and readiness for adulthood.
How Every ARC Lesson Works
A consistent structure helps pupils understand what comes next. The teacher agrees the appropriate Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum tasks; pupils do not have to complete every level in every lesson.
Starter
A calm activity that prepares the pupil for learning.
Introduction
Clear teaching and explanation of the lesson’s key ideas.
Bronze
Develop Entry Level 3 foundations through supported core activities.
Silver
Develop Level 1 skills through practice and application.
Gold
Extend understanding and build towards GCSE demands.
Platinum
Work on selected skills targeting GCSE grade 4 standard.
Practice Check
Receive immediate results and revisit areas where needed.
Submit, Feedback & Approval
Submit all agreed work. The teacher marks it, gives feedback and checks corrections before approving progression.
Cost and access: a parent, carer or commissioning professional should contact enquiries@arc-cic.co.uk for costs, subject availability and access arrangements. ARC agrees the programme and enrols the pupil; pupils then sign in to access their courses.
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum describe teaching challenge. They do not award a qualification or guarantee a grade. Each lesson includes a summary and review; the teacher checks all agreed work and the separate approval request before the next lesson unlocks.

Learning for Years 7, 8 and 9
Years 7, 8 and 9 access a shared subject curriculum, with activities adapted to starting points and needs. Our full subject offer is shown below, including subjects whose online lessons are still being prepared.
English Language
Reading, writing, speaking and listening through English Year 1 and Year 2. These are programme years; ARC agrees the starting point for each pupil.

Develop practical skills for employment, training and personal development. ARC agrees suitable units, support and assessment arrangements for each learner.

Preparing for Qualifications and Adulthood
Older pupils follow subject, qualification and practical programmes selected around their needs and future plans. GCSE, Entry Level, Functional Skills and NOCN routes are agreed individually, subject to suitable assessment arrangements.
English subject programme
English Year 1 and Year 2 provide differentiated subject learning. The qualification route is agreed separately for each pupil.
